  • Evaluation of planned activities that support emergent literacy should take a similar form to all activity evaluations. Considerations include:
    • Were the children engaged/interested in the activity?
    • Did all children have the opportunity to partipate in the activity? Were all children included?
    • What did the children learn from the activity?
    • How could the activity and your practice be improved in the future?
  • Consideration of the child’s age and stage of development should also be considered, as should the early learning goals as specified in section 1.10 of the EYFS.
