  • Although activities may be initiated by the adult, it is important to allow children to explore the activity for themselves
  • Adults should observe children and support them where necessary as well as answer any questions they may ask
  • Children should have enough time to fully explore the opportunity and, where there is interest and enjoyment, there should be future opportunities for the chold to re-engage with the activity
