  • An enabling outdoor environment can meet the age, stage and needs of children in much the same way that and indoor environment does
  • E.g. Older children can learn skills, such as putting their coat on before going outdoors – the children’s coats should be accessible to them so that they can freely transition from an indoor to an outdoor environment and vice versa. For younger children, adults should be present to assist with this task.
