• Using what you have learned about philosophical approaches to play, create a plan to support the developmental stage, needs and interests of children from a range of age groups
• Ideas you may wish to consider include:
  • Birth to 2 years – set up a heuristic play basket and observe how the babies interact with the objects (Montessori)
  • 2 to 3 years – play a dressing up game where children can pretend to be characters to aid their emtional development (Isaacs)
  • 3 to 5 years – set up a gardening activity where children can decorate a plant pot (inside), then plant seeds in it (outside), facilitating free-flow between both environments (Bruce)
