    • Ensure that the setting is stimulating for the child
    • Ensure that children are free to explore and discover
  • Vygotsky
    • Observe when children are no longer able to learn on their own
    • Support the child to develop further by showing them something new related to their current play
    • Ensure adult-led play opportunities are provided
  • Froebel
    • Provide play opportinities and support which help a child’s development in all areas (social, cognitive, physical etc.)
    • Ensure children have age-appropriate, easily accessible resources and opportunities that support their development
  • Athey
    • Plan play opportunities that are in line with a child’s schema
