  • Your observations and assessments should be used to inform the plans that you make to meet the developmental needs and interests of the child
  • When planning an activity you should document the aim of the activity and how it will be used to support the child’s next steps in development
  • You will also need to write a detailed description of the activity and the role of the practitioner as well as provide evidence about how the activity will support the child’s development – evidence could include the EYFS, national guidance, theoretical perspectives, research papers etc.
  • Where necessary, risk assessments should be included in your plan
  • You should also ensure that the activity is inclusive to other children
