- Following an observation, you will have hopefully gained a lot of information that can be used to plan the next steps in relation to the needs and interests of children
- E.g. You identify that a child enjoys pouring water between containers and you can use this information to plan an intivity that will introduce concepts of ‘bigger’ and ‘smaller’ to the child and that a smaller jug will not hold all the water from a bigger jug
- E.g. You identify that some children were not able to participate in mark-making because there was not enough space at the table, so you change the setting so that there are now two mark-making tables
- You should work in partnership with other when planning – this can include parents/carer, co-workers, your supervisor and other professionals
