  • 2 months – holds head, push up with arms when on tummy, palmar grasp reflex
  • 4 months – pushes down with legs when on hard surface, may roll over, can hold and shake toys
  • 6 months – sit with support, support weight with legs, rolling over, move objects to mouth or between hands
  • 9 months – crawling, sit without support, pull self up to standing position, bottom shuffling, pointing, pincer grasp
  • 12 months – walk holding onto furniture, stand independently, may begin to take first steps
  • 18 months – walk, run, drink from a cup, eat with a spoon
  • 24 months – climbing, throwing, kicking, holds pen, drawing, turn pages of a book
  • 3 years – may begin to learn how to use scissorsand forks, go up/down stairs, begins to aim when throwing, ride tricycle
  • 4 years – Copy simple markings (e.g. letters, numbers etc.), dress and undress, hop, ride bicycle (with stabilisers)
  • 5 years plus – handwriting and drawing skills improve, use scissors to cut out shapes, throwing and catching skillfully, improved anticipation and control when moving
