- The Early Years Practitioner must ensure that they understand the imporatance of equality, diversity and inclusion and are familiar with their organisation’s policies and procedures
- Children, families, co-workers and others must be valued as individuals and not be discriminated against – this includes having a child-centred approach to practicein which they have choice and control
- Equality, diversity and inclusion should be promoted and discrimination should be challenged
- The Early Years Practitioner should be a positive role model and the setting should welcome diversity
- All children and families must be provided with the same opportunities
