• Children should be supported to manage risk for themselves to develop the skills they needto stay safe in a variety of situations
• Early Years Practitioners should teach children about risks and hazards
• E.g. road safety, stranger danger, running on an icy play area etc.
• Older children may be asked what they think could be the dangers in particular situations or scenarios
