- Each organisation will operate slightly differently, so you will need to review the procedures forthe registration and collection of children in your own setting
- Registering children when they arrive will mean recording their arrival time – this is essential for if there is an evacuation of the building so that you can ensure all children have left safely
- The procedure for collection of children should ensure that they are only allowed to leave with a parent or other named person
- If the parent/carer wishes somebody else to collect their child, written permission should be given
- The child’s collection should be recorded so that the register remains accurate
