  • Your organisation will have a Safeguarding Policy which will state how your organisation protect and safeguard children and guide processes and decisions.
  • Your organisation will also have a Safeguarding Procedure that clearly explains what should be done if there are concerns about a child. This will include making written records and reporting to the manager or safeguarding leader.
  • Your employer must make these documents accessible to all employees.
  • Employees must read and understand these documents and ask for support if they do not understand them.
  • All settings should have a safeguarding lead to manage and co-ordinate safeguarding concerns
