  • As part of their reflective practice, an Early Years Practitioner should evaluate their own role when promoting emotional wellbeing
  • This will include identifying strengths that can be built upon and weaknesses that may require improvement, such as from additional training or to discuss during supervision
  • Some things you may wish to consider include:
    • Do you support children to take calculated risks?
    • Do you promote, encourage and praise independence?
    • Were your planned activities successful? How might they be changed next time?
    • Do you adapt an activity to the interests of the children during implementation?
    • Do you treat children in a dignified way?
    • Do you ensure that you have time for the children and families that you are Key Worker for?
